Synergy Manager

Job description

As a Synergy Manager, you are responsible for managing, coordinating, and monitoring synergies within our projects. You act as a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders and work closely with various departments, including design and permitting teams, as well as with our clients. You ensure that projects run efficiently, both technically and financially, while safeguarding quality, timelines, and stakeholder support.

Your Responsibilities

Synergy management via client systems:

  • Managing and analyzing incoming synergies

  • Entering and following up works in the relevant systems

  • Organizing and attending meetings with clients and stakeholders (municipalities, cities, utility companies, regional authorities, etc.)

  • Collaborating with design and permitting teams

Follow-up of outgoing synergies:

  • Taking on a pilot/lead role

  • Collecting, analyzing, and verifying construction and installation plans

  • Organizing and attending meetings with clients and stakeholders

  • Coordinating actions in collaboration with internal departments

  • Monitoring scope, timing, and quality

Coordination meetings:

  • Leading and facilitating coordination meetings with cities and municipalities

  • Reporting, follow-up, and safeguarding of agreements made

Financial management:

  • Preparing and managing bills of quantities per project

  • Comparing estimated and actual construction costs

  • Analyzing deviations and financial risks

  • Reporting budget variances

  • Updating activities and quantities in the project management system

  • Following up and activating internal approval and processing workflows

Logistics management:

  • Including synergy materials in forecasts

  • Ordering synergy materials

Your qualities:

  • A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree, supplemented with relevant experience

  • Strong communication skills and experience in stakeholder management

  • Proven experience in project management, including budget management, financial follow-up, and risk and resource planning

  • Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to problem-solving

  • Flexible, proactive, and able to work efficiently under pressure

  • Knowledge of permitting procedures in Flanders; experience with GIPOD is a plus

  • Very good knowledge of MS Office and Office 365

  • Ability to work independently, with a strong relationship-oriented mindset and solid negotiation skills

 
 

 

 

Language skills:

  • Dutch: very good (oral and written)
  • English: very good (oral and written)
  • Knowledge of French and/or German is an asset
