From April 14 to 16, WKF Engineering touched down in London for the FTTH Council Europe Conference 2026. More than 100 exhibitors and partners came together to exchange knowledge on the latest trends and best practices in the fiber sector. We welcomed experts to our booth, made new contacts and gave a successful workshop on the digital evolution of fiber network construction. Discover our highlights of this fiber fair!
Partner workshop ‘Data Integrity at Scale’
What does a unified approach for fiber deployment look like, from design to AI-verified as-built registration? During our workshop “Data Integrity at Scale,” we provided, together with host Miranda Rombouts (Wyre) provided an interactive session with several presentations on how a human-in-the-loop digital workflow ensures data integrity at scale, accelerates adoption, reduces lifecycle costs and protects the long-term value of telecom infrastructure. Contributions came from Dave Dionne (Merkator Group), Wendy Panis (WKF Engineering), Maarten Boddeus (Allinq Digital) and Aloïs Brunel (IQGeo).
Together we showed how different systems can be seamlessly integrated with each other. Our Worksite Manager integrates with other tools such as MarlinDT (Merkator Group), Netlux AI (IQGeo) and In Control (Allinq Digital), to achieve greater control, quality and efficiency from the back office to the field.
The strengths of our tool? Smooth integration of design, permits, planning and execution documentation, combined with follow-up of the works and human-in-the-loop decision-making. This way, all the different parties can always consult the most recent status of their projects and work together at lightning speed without inefficient delays. Goodbye data loss, hello data integration!

“It was a fantastic opportunity to present the integration of our Worksite Manager for Wyre to an international audience at the FTTH Conference. The interest and feedback we received confirmed that we are responding to a clear need in the market with this solution. Very valuable to engage in dialogue about this.”
– Wendy Panis, Co-founder & CFO at WKF Engineering
Consolidation in the United Kingdom
During the FTTH Conference, we also gained many valuable insights. For example, we learned more about the UK market. With 4 out of 5 premises reached, coverage is not a problem here. Rather, the challenge lies in the highly fragmented AltNet landscape, which is also under financial pressure, making consolidation inevitable. According to analysts, CityFibre and nexfibre are the most likely buyers in 2026. Interesting knowledge that we were able to explore further with several specialists.
“Thanks to the international nature of the fair, we had the opportunity to have a lot of quality conversations with fiber experts from all over the world. Our successful workshop and the massive turnout at our booth reinforced those unique networking opportunities. I am already looking forward to the next edition in Milan!”
– Frederik Verstraete, CCO at WKF Engineering
Our Worksite Manager is ready for the future
And whether we look back proudly on our presence at the FTTH Conference! This fiber optic exhibition confirmed once again how fast the fiber sector is evolving and how important collaboration and knowledge sharing are in it. With fresh ideas and strengthened partnerships, we look forward confidently to the next steps in the digital expansion of fiber networks. Our Worksite Manager is standing by. Let’s do this together!
